Duration: 14 Nights / 15 Days
Destination: Delhi - Agra - Orchha - Varanasi - Sonepur - Bodh Gaya - Kolkata

Days 1-2 Delhi
An introduction from Steve begins our adventure through the lens. The best way to capture India is through a walk in the local bazaars and spice markets. Where better to start than Old Delhi, joining the locals as they go about their daily lives.

Day 3 Agra
Emperor Akbar's Red Fort dominates central Agra while along the river stands the breathtaking white marble Taj Mahal, a symbol of India and one of the most photographed momuments in the world. We take two opportunities to photograph it bathed in different light: once from the main gate, and another from behind as it reflects in the river to help you discover its many charms.

Days 4-5 Orchha
Visit the "Hidden Town" of Orchha. A throwback to the Mughal era with stunning arcitecture and temple filled streets. A pristine palace and a visit to view a puja ceremony make this a truely hidden gem of India. Photographically speaking this charming town provides a huge variety of easily accessible opportunities and it a charming place to wander about.

Days 6-7 Varanasi
India's spiritual heart is alive with brightly clothed devotees who line the ghats, twisting alleyways, shrines and temples. Soak up this magical atmosphere with an early morning boat ride. The soft light pours down on the pilgrims as they gather to greet the rising sun. Ensure you have plenty of film or space on your memory cards!

Days 8-10 Sonepur Cattle Fair
This festival is a riot of colour and life. This is where the beauty and bustle that defines India reaches its pinnacle as all types of animals, birds and fish are traded by all manner of Indian merchants. All this happens in the light of the winter sun and under the Full November Moon. It's a photographer's dream come true.

Days 11-12 Bodh Gaya
Peace is the prevailing atmosphere at the place of Lord Buddha's enlightenment. The call is strong as the robed faithful flock to this spot in search of their own spritual nirvana. Charge up your batteries, for travel photographers this is yet another inspirational spot.

Days 13-15 Kolkata
Known as the City of Joy, Kolkata is a vibrant place with a fascinating cultural centre. Colonial arcitecture complements the street scenes of colourful activity. Capture the happy energy through the lens and experience it for yourself.
